Charleston Wedding Photography

Whether you are planning an intimate destination wedding, a southern soirée in Charleston or an elegant celebration in a Palm Beach ballroom, you've come to the right place.

As an artist, I strive to create elegant, timeless and intentional photos that reflect the love you feel. I believe everyone is beautiful and every detail helps to tell your unique story.
I utilize a mix of medium format film, digital and drone photography to tell the story of your wedding day from all angles.
My work is focused on realistic color, beautiful light and thoughtful composition to highlight the
raw emotion from your day.

FUN FACTS

travel wish list

I absolutely love to travel and my passport is always ready! If you are planning a destination wedding or elopement please let me know. Here are some of the fabulous places on my wishlist.

Frequently asked questions

1. Where are you located and do you travel?

I'm based out of Charleston, South Carolina but I frequently travel for weddings and other photoshoots. I also do work out of South Florida and New York. I'm always passport ready and love to travel so please feel free to reach out about any destination weddings. If your destination is on my travel list, I will gladly offer a discount.

2. What is your photographic style?

My fine art style is candid, authentic and can be described as photo journalistic, however I'm happy to pose and style whenever necessary. I can edit your photos in several styles from light and airy to moody or boho. Just ask!

3. what camera equipment do you use and do you have backup gear?

I use professional grade Canon bodies with a variety of lenses as well as external lighting equipment. I also shoot with a film Contax body and 80 mm lens for gorgeous portraits. I have backup cameras, batteries, lenses and flashes so I am prepared for whatever could happen.

4. Do you offer albums?

Yes! I offer a variety of albums, prints, canvases, keep sake boxes, loose prints and more. Each album is custom designed to be unique to you and printed from a third party with the finest quality paper so you can enjoy for generations. They are not included in my packages but may be added to any service I offer.

5. How long until we receive our photos?

I have a guaranteed delivery time of 8 weeks for wedding photos, however its always sooner. I strive to get them done as soon as possible and my clients frequently praise me for my super fast turnaround time. Other photoshoots take way less, typically a week for family photos.

6. Do you work with a second photographer?

I frequently work with a second photographer or assistant and it can be super beneficial on your wedding day. I cannot physically be in two places at once, so by having a second photographer, it does just that! It will increase the chances that all the moments will be captured and will also offer some variety to your photos. The timeline will run smoother as well.

7. Should we have an engagement shoot?

Absolutely! Not only will you get gorgeous images and create some fun memories together, but you will also have a chance to meet me, see me in action and feel more comfortable for your big day. They are a great opportunity for us to get to know each other better. I also offer discounted engagement sessions when booked with a wedding package.

8. We love your work! How do we book our date?

Your date is officially booked once I have a signed contract and a 20% non-refundable retainer. Please understand I cannot hold a date through email inquiry only, as I receive quite a few for each particular date during the wedding season. They are booked on a first come first serve basis.

9. Do you book more than one wedding a day?

No. My couple's wedding has my complete focus and attention for the entirety of the day regardless of the amount of hours booked.

10. Do you photograph large/small jewish/ greek/ indian/ christian/ gay/ non-religious weddings?

Absolutely! I photograph weddings of all kinds and love to do so. I am an inclusive photographer.

11. Do you photograph Quinceañeras, bar mitzvahs, bat mitzvahs, or corporate events?

I do! I photograph all sorts of special events and would love to take part in yours. Custom packages are available for whatever your needs may be.

12. how many hours of coverage will we need?

Every wedding is extremely unique with planning and timing, therefore I do offer a great package with unlimited time. My most frequent booking time is between 6-8 hours. I always insist to book for a little more time than necessary, so nobody feels rushed.

13. we love your work but what if you're out of our budget?

Just talk to me! I don't like turning away clients because of cost and if you are transparent about your budget, I can try to make it work with various customizations to my packages. I know how important budgets are and there is so much to consider with planning a wedding. Just keep in mind that these are memories and moments you are investing in, not just more stuff!

14. do we meet before the big day?

We definitely can but it is not a requirement for a smoothly running day. I am happy to meet for coffee, facetime or have a phone call at any time! I can also be directed towards your planner for the more detailed stuff. Engagement sessions are also a fantastic way to meet before the big day and get to know each other.

15. Do i need to provide vendor meals?

Vendor meals are not required, but strongly encouraged. If they are not provided, my team will need to have around an hour break to grab a meal/coffee!

16. do you shoot raw or jpeg? can i have the raw images?

I shoot everything in RAW format and post processing varies from shoot to shoot.  You cannot have the RAW images.

17. what editing programs do you use?

I use Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom for all of my editing needs.

18. Do you offer discounts

I run promotions from time to time. Off season and weekday pricing is available upon request. I also offer various mini sessions throughout the year for portraits.

19. have you shot at our venue before?

I have shot at majority of the major venues in the Charleston area, however if I have not, I assure you it will not matter. I typically show up at least 30 minutes prior to my scheduled time so I can scope out locations and find the most aesthetically pleasing spots in the area. Lighting is also constantly changing, so as a photographer, I have to be quick to make adjustments at any location.

20. what if i hate taking photos?

I can promise you have nothing to worry about! I personally feel super awkward having my photo taken, so I always do my best to help you feel comfortable and have a fun time. During the shoot, I offer several prompts to capture the action and to get you to have a natural vibe.
