This gorgeous wedding was definitely one for the books! When I arrived to start photographing Alice getting ready, I was informed that Ryan got BIT BY A SHARK on his morning fishing trip! Ryan spent the morning at MUSC getting countless stitches. He almost missed his first look. While we originally planned to shoot the first look downtown, we ended up creating a new plan and shooting it at the dock outside Shem Creek Inn. After that, Ryan surprised Alice with a vintage car and we all took off to Boone Hall.

The beautiful ceremony took place outside the main house and included a cellist, the cutest flower girl and ring bearers as well as readings from The Notebook. Following the ceremony, the guests headed to cocktail hour, while I captured some quintessential Boone Hall wedding photos with the stunning couple and their family. During the reception, the cotton dock at Boone Hall also partially flooded due to the full moon and high tide, which only happens once every few months. Everyone was joking that the shark was coming back for the groom. The guests enjoyed splashing around in the water and even took out paddle boards.
